As a beginner, the first thing that will be taught to you will be the basics. How to properly handle the training weapons, basic postures, basic strikes, how to block, etc. Those will be the foundation for the paired training. Once you’ve gotten yourself familiar with the basics, you’ll be taught kenjutsu (partnered training). After you’re done with kenjutsu, next will be bojutsu, then naginatajutsu, then other weapons. Iaijutsu and battojutsu will be taught in between.
